It offers you several views ( Gantt, Network, Resource, Estimation, Risk, Plan, EVM...) to get the broad understanding of where your project is heading. Several improvements have been done to Project Planner 4.8 based on customer feedback.Features

Plan a project by splitting a project into well defined tasks

Summary view to show the project health based on number of tasks and project duration
Ability to add multiple resources and assign a task owner to a task
